From TechUnited (@tue-robotics), I have https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGYDB-6KSx8&list=PLm_tP6eezKCQqq_AB2kQD7ZT-4wx4uNJ3&index=15
But please, anyone if you have more videos, please post them.
I have seen A LOT of cameras, so there definitely need to be some material.
We could ask the teams to provide them. But, I think we should have a place for them to be seen first.
Does the league have something like a YouTube channel?
Not that I know of and can find either. There is https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCu0u7DbHJlvATLHjoANa3wQ though.
We should have playlists for all qualification video's, all challenges etc. Link to those playlists on robocupathome.org etc.
Can we get the RoboCup federation to add playlists with videos we give links to? Or is setting out our own account easier?
A source for a collection of material by the teams would be great. In this case I was specifically referring to the recordings made by the local organizers (or somenone else?) shown on the big screen during the performances. Maybe @HideakiNagano21 knows about access to these recordings?
@LoyVanBeek I'l ask the EC if there is something that we can do in an official manner via the federation. Something tells me that it's going to be easier to start and manage an official RoboCup@Home YouTube channel (if there isn't one).
@balkce I'm pretty sure managing our own is going to be easier. AFAIK there's none already.
As OC chair I've access to the official page, but I would like to have permission from the Execs before adding a Media section.
There is no official RoboCup@Home Youtube channel AFAIK, but we can ask Dirk. As organization, the Domain RoboCuAtHome.org must have a youtube channel.
Cheers
So I've asked the EC about this and, even though they do see that it is plausible to have a home playlist in the robocup YouTube channel, I haven't received an answer about who to contact to do this.
Considering the inertia we have right now, I think that for the time being we should create a home YouTube channel. We can always "link" it to the official one later.
And, frankly, seeing how things are going, this channel might even turn out better than the official one. For example, there is the robocup channel (with only 50 subscribers and no mention of this year competition) and a robocup 2017 channel (with 350 subscribers and where everything was streaming during this year competition).
So, yeah, from my POV: go for it. Let's start the home YouTube channel.
I've also asked a responsible person in Japan to allow me to share the video, which was being broadcasted on the big screen above the arena. But now is the summer vacation in Japan until the next Monday. So, I have gotten no answer yet.
Also, you can see the live broadcast program of the entire RoboCup on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxbXbNOZT7BNLQNNNAU6e_w
Apparently, Google and thus YouTube have so called Brand Accounts that can be managed by multiple people.
Should I set this up?
Done: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChkdCpT0xrFMMt-_N8wSVew
I invited @kyordhel and @balkce to also be managers of this channel, I think they can add other committee members if needed
I asked Hibikino & AUPAIR to send their videos to upload them to both, the channel and the official website. No response so far.
@HideakiNagano21 Thank you. The live broadcast seemed to be very focused on soccer. So additional material of @home would be great to have.
@HideakiNagano21 Any updates?
Hi, is there a way to get access to the recordings made during open challenge and final? It would be great to have the teams presentations available in such a high quality.
