Description

This PR does the following:

Fixes #46

Testing Steps

  1. Follow the Docker installation instructions. Ensure that no errors occur, and build the code.
  2. Try running different gui apps.

Since this better than a VM for our purposes on Mac, I added that issue as being fixed by this PR
