If you wanted to, you could run the demo mentioned in the overview of the other PR and watch Atlas collapse. The ability to watch Atlas collapse is the only reason we have these meshes.

Anyway, I'll merge and proceed. If you decide to run it and see problems, I'm happy to revert.
