Describe the solution you'd like There are some cool VSLAM packages for ROS that can be implemented to improve the localization of the robot and also to extract features.

Describe alternatives you've considered Some of these are listed here but there are others like:

Additional context VSLAM stands for Visual SLAM and the idea is to have Simultaneous Localization And Mapping (SLAM) using the 3D cameras.
