Customisable playlist columns #13

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

This is an enhancement request for foo_httpcontrol.

The playlist browser currently shows track number and title, with artist name
and album on smaller grey type on some entries. It would be wonderful to be
able to select the displayed columns and the column on which the entries are to
be sorted.

In my setup, I wish to sort by Artist, and to display Artist as the first
column followed by Title; Album and Track are of minor importance. Each user's
preferences will vary, so the ability to customise these settings would be
ideal.

I couldn't figure out how to submit this as an ehancement rather than as a
defect: sorry.

I suppose you're talking about ajquery template, right? It's possible to make
playlist layout a multicolumn table, but you'd have to find a volunteer with
js/html knowledge to fiddle with the existing template or write a new one.

Regarding ability to invoke sorting, it's not implemented in component at the
moment. It should be trivival to add though, so it goes straight to todo list.

sorting implemented in 0.97.7, now it's up to template writers to add sort
support to their templates.
