foobar crashes with a very long playlist ( > 1300 files ) #20

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Enqueue a very large playlist (eg. my cd-rips folder, put in randomized
order, > 1300 files)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Foobar crashes.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.97.12 on Vista 64 bit with all the latest updates as per 28-03-2012

Please provide any additional information below.
I use a traktor audio 10 for playback. When foobar crashes, I have to reboot in
order to get the sound back.

Please let me know if there's anything I can do to give you a more accurate
report. When I use a shorter playlist things seem to work fine. I really like
the plugin by the way, thanks a lot for making it and sharing.

crashdump (txt and dump file) would be helpful to determine whether it's the
component to blame or something else.

I just enqueued ~16k items out of curiosity and it went well.

I added 2 crashdumps.

I also checked the eventvwr (application log), foobar didn't show up there.

crashes location are weird. need more information.

what template do you use? is the template page open in one browser or several
at the crash moment?

it would be good if you removed the component and tried to add the same set of
files to playlist using File/Add folder menu command. Also, your foobar2000
version is quite old, can you test if there's any difference with newer one?

I use the default template. I think it was open in 2 browsers, both on the
server via localhost and on the client.

I just updated to foobar 1.1.11. Enqueueing my cdrips folder as we speak. For
starters I will try while only viewing webinterface on my client machine.

Let's see...

I did get some more crashes. In the end I decided to do a clean install of win7
(64 bit). No crashes so far!

Thanks again.
