f-droid android client no longer connects to server

Description:

Steps to reproduce:

1. install rocket.chat from f-droid
2. Start application
3. try to sign in on a server

Expected behavior:

When clicking 'connect to server' and you enter your home server or when opening the 'open.rocket.chat' one to get a login prompt for your account information

Actual behavior:

you get the three dots that get bigger/smaller for waiting, and it just keeps on going

Hey, I happened to have the same issue and assumed this is a bug due to the recent Android version (11) since I got a Pixel 4a (stock Android). I need RocketChat for work and finally found that the PlayStore version does not have this bug. It also has a way different intro screen: Maybe this has something to do with that as well?
