Channel redirect when clicking the textbox on a conversation or public channel #22410

Description:

Sometimes when you click on a private conversation or a public room you are redirected to the default channel

Steps to reproduce:

Here's how i successfully reproduced this error every time:

  1. Being logged in on two different browser profiles, open rocketchat on one of them. And then close it
  2. Then open it on the other profile and click on a private conversation or a public channel
  3. When you click on any element of the conversation you are redirected to the default channel
  4. If you reload the page, won't happen anymore until you open rocket from the other profile

Expected behavior:

Do not redirect to the default channel

Happened on v3.14.3, upgraded to v3.14.5 and didn't fix it, still happening with the version 3.15.0 Seems like it stops happening when you make a logout. But i think it happens again at some point

still happening to me with RC 3.16.3.

This has also been happening to me on the browser version (Chrome, Ubuntu) for weeks, it usually happens on first start-up, it can be fixed by refreshing the tab. Several of my colleagues have been complaining of this also, and it has led to a lot of messages being mistakenly sent to the wrong channel.

In our company, we are like +200 workers and this issue is causing that every day, somebody sends private messages to the general channel by mistake, they don't realize. It is something that should be fixed asap

@jsanchezba I can relate, our company is dealing with the same thing, it's good to know that we're not alone.
