Channel Points / Reward System (like in twitch)

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. We need a feature that motivates people to stick to room/channel conversations and to increase participation of room/channel members. This could attract more users by entertaining them.

Describe the solution you'd like One possible solution to increase user activity would be the use of "Channel Points" as they are provided in twitch. Please see https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/channel-points-guide?language=en_US What we can have here is a reward system that provides points based on activties like

• beeing online
• talking in room/channel
• answering to people by adressing them directly or using citations
• using good style (i.e. markdown)
• response time when beeing addressed directly
• loot (giving away points randomly)
• gifts (members may give away points to other members)
• consistency (beeing online every day/hour etc)
• having positive reactions
• etc.

The Channel/Room owner should be able to

• assign a specific point number to the activities as named above
• giving the channel points a channel/room-specific name (i.e. "stars", "cherries", "cookies" etc)
• providing rewards for the points as described below:

Every Channel/Room participant should be able to trade channel points agains virtual goods:

• demanding specific activities from the channel owner (i.e. solve a feature ticket, caring about a bug, writing documentation)
• decorating the chat with effects (i.e. confetti / that would require a lot more style features, I know) for everyone to see
• decorating the chat with styles that only the user sees (background color etc.)
• decorating the self chat-lines with some kind of awards ("five-star user") for everyone to see
• enabling downloads for virtual goods (yes, another big feature, just as example)
• etc.

Describe alternatives you've considered I believe this is unique. Please try out the feature in twitch to get a feeling about it.

Additional context Yes this is a big feature and it gives many examples of options that do not need to be implemented at once. I hope this feature would give rocketchat a unique way to attract more users outside of its current user group. This applies specifically to in-enterprise use where people are not so much used to chat and need to be guided with a game-playing like attraction mechanism.

I second this. I will definitely use it and it can answer several challenges I had in managing the community motivation when it is growing fast.
