that's right;
if like this <a class="<%-menu.icon%> nav-mask">test</a>
Compressed <a class="menu-iconnav-mask">test</a>

Htmlcompressor isn't made for compressing non-html sources. All I can suggest 
is wrap problem places with <!-- {{{ -->...<!-- }}} --> to skip them.
