What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Receive Incoming Call
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Ideally CID would be
displayed, and ringtone would start. Ringtone should stop when call is
answered. Instead ringtone starts much later, and continues until end of
audio file after call is answered.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.0.5

Please provide any additional information below.

using renice to set a higher priority for this app has improved both the
ringtone response time, and call quality. I have been testing this for
about a week and have noticed quite a difference. The ringtone starts after
the first 1 to 1.5 rings on caller's end rather than on 3rd or 4th. Also
latency issues during calls are not as evident. It is pretty safe to say
however, that most users do not know how to change these settings. A "Set
High Priority" option that checks and sets the correct value when needed
might be helpful. I found somewhere between -10 to -16 works well.

Also I am aware it took a few releases before ringtones were even
implemented, and other features are more important at the moment, but it
would be nice to see extended functionality in that department. Could it be
made to query the phonebook for contact specific ringtones? Or possibly
even TTS notification of incoming calls. Zillode has been able to get TTS
working quite well for several notification types. His project TTSNotifier
could be a good reference source if you are interested. It can be found at
http://github.com/Zillode/Android-TTSNotifier/tree/master

Anyway just wanted to toss a few Ideas out there. Other than the ringtone
continuing after call is answered (which I'm sure you guys will fix
eventually) the project is great. I have been using it as primary calling
method for months with very few issues. Keep up the good work

Thanks for your report. It'll fixed on next release.

TTS notification is something an external app can do. Sipdroid broadcasts
incoming call
notifications just like the built-in phone.
