Code improvements

Various code improvements, including:

• Better parsers
• Use of tracing instead of log
• Use of anyhow and thiserror for easier error handling
• Testing, including a mock file system to ensure parsing is working as expected
• Include a basic usage example in the examples directory
• Separate parser utility functions into a separate file
