I have been working to build a better process to build pano images from my DJI Mini 2 drone.

Areas of stitched images have black holes. #2

When missing images (rare) or at the top of images (every drone pano), I have black holes.

There are various write-ups on how to overcome this - pointing the drone up (I suspect this would lead to a lack of overlapping control points), filling in with intelligent fill in a photo editor, and others, but so far none are command line automatiable that I can tell.

Ideas on how to fix this -

  1. Tell hugin to use white, or some shade of grey so the black is not as jarring.
  2. Figure out how the DJI Pano software is handling the shading/blending at the top of the image. This is something DJI's tool does fairly well, but in low res.

Did a bit more digging and no solution yet. It must be scriptable....my phone with DJI's garbage quality output can do it...it must be possible. Also posted here - https://groups.google.com/g/hugin-ptx/c/ivVtUvGwaaQ
