When a sms arrives you are given the option for it to be read or saved for
later. Useful if clients are in the car and my wife is texting me a shopping
list. Or my children are in the car and I know the text has a rude joke on it.

I have given this more thought. I do not support any app that may cause driver
distraction. Adding a feature like this would cause the driver to have to look
at the device screen which is very distracting and dangerous. I suggest you do
not enable the text reading feature in a car where reading the text could be a
problem. The texts are always saved naturally by the SMS system so nothing is
needed in this app for that.

Hi Jim. I think that decision is a mistake. It wouldn't be a distraction, in
fact, quite the opposite. It would allow the driver to not look away from the
road and if required, reply to urgent texts. Ok I have to respect your
decision. Unfortunately this is a feature I need so I will have to look
elsewhere. Good luck with the development.

No text is urgent enough to require your attention while driving. You risk not
only your life but the lives of others around you. Watch the movie 7 Pounds.
Driver distraction is becoming a very significant percentage of all car
accidents, and more importantly fatalities. Texting while driving is illegal
in many places and hopefully it will be illegal all over very soon for very
good reasons.
