Media volume problem #141

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

Hello,

When I connect to my headset the media volume should set to the maximum volume
and after disconnect it should go back to the last known volume.

But when I do connect the media volume will set to 50%, instead of 100%, and
after disconnect it goes back to the last known volume.

I tried several solutions:
- Set media volume while service is off.
- Set media volume while headset is connected
- Set media volume while headset is disconnected

But nothing works.

Phone: HTC Incredible S
Android version: 4.0.4

How has a working solution?

Each device needs to be configured for the desired behavior. Also, if you
check the "remember last used volume" the volume you set while connected will
be the new default volume. If you always wantr 100% then you must uncheck the
remember feature, check the set media volume, and then set the slider bar where
you want the default volume to be when connected. Did you do that?

Thank you for your fast reply.

I do want to use the "remember last used volume". Normal I want the media
volume low like 10% max but at the bike I would like it maximum (100%) so I
can use the headset volume up /down buttons.

U tried this:

- Uncheck "remember last used volume".
- Set slide bar up to maximum.
- Set phone media volume at about 75%.
- Activate bluetooth at cellphone
- Activate bluetooth at headset

The media volume now automatic go to 50% instead of 100%.

Really strange. I will reinstall the app en try again.

Is some other app also setting the volume? Can you see the volume UI show the
volume adjustment? Are you using the ramp volume feature? What do you have
the volume delay set to? If something else is setting the volume you can add
more delay so A2DP Volume sets it last. Does your Bluetooth device connect as
2 devices? Some do and the second device will override the first. If this is
the case, set the first device to do nothing and make all adjustments in the
second. Some devices connect multiple times. If this is the case, try a
longer delay on the volume adjustment.

To bad. Still the same problem. Media volume slides up to 50% instead of
100% :(

I do use a other app (Sound manager) to set the volume down at 10 pm. I don’t
use the ramp volume option. Default I have a 6s delay and changed it to 20s...
and guess what, it works. The media volume is now going to 100% and back to 10
if I disconnect. Also now I set the delay time back to 10s.

Don’t use 2 Bluetooth connections/devices. I think the longer delay time is
mine solution.

Thank you very much mister JimR.
