Question if root will be possible on my TV #63

Hi i bought a LG OLED65C17B today and the first thing i did was a software update. i regret it. But now i see there is no way to get to install root on this baby. i currently on WebOS 6.3.1-411.

will there be a way to root this firmware from your side or will this be not possible in future? or do you have any resources for an older firmware to downgrade this.

Downgrade is not currently possible on your current firmware version. However, you maybe be able to look further into using the crashd exploit to gain root privileges and install the homebrew channel this way (you can find more details on the webos homebrew discord). This is currently possible on an OLED B1 (with latest firmware, I believe).

Alternatively, RootMyTV v3 should be available soon, which I understand will most likely work with your TV out of the box, with very little work required comparitively.

Thanks for your answer. I will look into Discord and see if it's doable for me. Alternatively I will wait for version3.
