I have breeders currently using this spreadsheet who are keen to trial the system.

At the moment I keep insisting people shouldn't use Basemix for their sole source of information. That's fair and fine, but actually what that means is that if anyone has their records in another system presently, it becomes a chore to maintain two systems.

What would make it much easier is to allow dual-running by means of a lightweight import. If a user could just throw their existing data at it then it doesn't matter how fragile Basemix is, they can always start from a clean slate.

I think this spreadsheet in particular should be addressed sooner over later.

An initial version of this exists now, there's much more to do in terms of data to read in, put in notes, use elsewhere, and we don't backfill family trees, but at this point I'm happy to call this "Done", and raise more tickets for specific fixes/tweaks/enhancements.
