Placing_userChrome.css #51

Hey there. I'm new to github. This is not an issue but I was just having trouble getting this going. I found this channel since this has been brought to the top of "Zotero Dark Mode" in google search. I am trying to enter the userChrome.css file into my user filer. I have found a "chrome" folder that was already part of the Zotero files but this was just a few web icons.

I also found OS (C:) > Users > My_Name > Zotero. Then added a chrome folder here and placed the file though I did not see any changes with Zotero.

Wondering how I might be able to get this rolling. Again, and probably obvious, new to this site. Decent with Zotero but not great with code. Love the edit. This is not an issue I just could not find where to comment.

I don't completely understand your issue.

You could not find "C:\Users\My_Name\AppData\Roaming\Zotero\Zotero\Profiles\user_profile.default\" ?

Maybe you cannot find the 'AppData' folder because it is hidden. In this case checkout how to show hidden files:

The folder might not be named "user_profile.default" exactly, mine was a another arbitrary bit of text of the form "a23bcd12.default". Just go into whatever folder is inside the "Profiles" directory, make a chrome folder in there, and then put the userChrome.css file in that final chrome folder, restart Zotero, and it should work.

i.e. navigate to "C:\Users\User_name\AppData\Roaming\Zotero\Zotero\Profiles" and then go into whatever folderis there

Hi @djveenkant

using the zotero-night plugin might be easier for you. The added value of using userChrome.css would be the possibility to tweak the code by yourself. To my understanding your rather looking for a fast and easy solution.

@so31 literally you create a folder and name it "chrome" (right click -> new -> folder; rename - chrome)
