Version

3.2.1.0

Operating System

Windows 11

What happened?

Set up six portals yesterday: five local folders and one folder on an external hard drive.

Here is the layout info (G:\01 Dissertation is on the external hard drive): Saved layout with 6 folders

If the external hard drive is not connected during Windows startup, four of the folders do not appear, neither on the desktop nor in the home tab of the app.

Home tab with only 2 folders - 4 folders have disappeared: Home tab with only 2 folders - 4 folders have disappeared

Of the two visible folders, one is on the external hard drive and displays a warning in red in the content area, indicating "Location not found" or similar. The other visible folder is a local folder, similar to the four folders that are not displayed.

Right-clicking the notification area icon and selecting "Restart Portals" doesn't work when the external hard drive is disconnected.

Applying the saved layout when the external hard drive is disconnected causes the application to crash without warning.

Connecting the external hard drive and restarting the app SOMETIMES resolves the issue.

I am currently unable to reproduce the bug as it requires a system restart, which I cannot perform for the next couple of days.

Steps to Reproduce

Set up portals, one of which points to a folder on an external hard drive.

Disconnect the external hard drive.

Restart PC.

What would you expect to happen?

Folders that can be accessed (local) are displayed as usual, while those on the external hard disk that cannot be accessed display the warning “Location not found” in the content area.

Thanks for reporting, I will do my best to replicate this and see if I can find the source of the issue.
