2 years ago The issue here is that on smaller screens the user would need to scroll to see the "View Network" button, while on larger screen it's visible without scrolling. Need to ensure the button is always visible when the user is in Gene and Evidence View. Can also change the wording of the button or tip label to improve clarity. @manlikleo
Long gene lists from a search push the 'View Network' below the fold. The tip label says "Select gene(s) and click "View Network" button to see the network." For a long list the only button visible above the fold will be the 'Network View' button, which has the same words but does not function as a View Network. If you select genes and click 'Network View' then you will get a blank network view if this is the first network in the session or the previous visualised network if you have searched before
I think ideally the buttons at the top and bottom of of the list ('View Network' and 'Network View') would work the same way and have the same label, having two very similarly labelled buttons with different functions will cause confusion. Alternatively, a separate 'View Network' button could be echoed at the top of the list, close to the selection boxes so the user doesn't have to search for it, retaining the 'View Network' button at the bottom, so the user doesn't have to scroll back up to use it if they have found target genes at the bottom of a long list.
