I have a thought on this -- what about if it's like an airline's website. Anyone can search for flights, buy flights. But if you want to keep track of your own flights and get miles, you have to make an account.

In our case, anyone can access the website and click through each branch to see the musicians. This won't be a security breach because all of this information is literally on the bands' websites. They can even play drum roulette and make selections and click the assign button. But if someone wants to save or share the generated assignment, then they have to have an account/login.
