Tasker/Locale Integration #149

How about a Tasker Plugin to control iptables based on conditions? Right now
this is only possible through the Execute Plugin, Droid Wall would be a much
simpler solution.

Yes!

This app is just begging for Tasker integration. Here's how I would use it:

Set up a Droidwall blacklist for Wifi and 3g for all apps that download in the
background (or that I suspect might). I'd leave off apps that I definitely DO
want to get background data.

When the display goes off, run a Tasker task to turn that blacklist ON. None of
those apps are going to keep my device radio on!

When the display turns on, run a Tasker task to turn that blacklist OFF. Now
those apps can try downloading if they want, or if I'm using them.

I have some rules that only all email/calendar to go through 3G. When I travel
abroad, I allow data roaming but enable Droidwall so that I use the bandwidth
only for email/calendar.

Tasker integration would mean I could automatically enable Droidwall whenever I
am roaming and automatically disable it when I am not roaming.
