Tropical Coast Event Softlock #24

Describe the bug As you get to the event leaderboard (via the event banner below Story or in Episode Screen), the screen softlocks. The only way out of it is to restart the game. In addition, in order to truly play the event, you have to do a regular Story Mode run. You can just go into a regular Story Mode run and hit pause, then return to menu OR complete the current Story Mode run, and when you click on the event banner just above the play button in Main Menu in Story mode or in the Episode screen, the Event Story will replay from the beginning. UPDATE (9/1/2022): Sometimes this method to work around the issue will not work.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to the event banner below the story or in Episode Screen
  2. Click on the event banner
  3. It should take you to the Event Leaderboard
  4. Screen softlocks and you cannot go back nor proceed to the event stage.

Expected behavior When you get to the event leaderboard, you should be able to access the stage easily, even when you have completed the event story.

Additional context The event leaderboard screen will softlock while trying to load the event story dialogue if the player has not played in Story Mode in a new session.
UPDATE (9/5/2022): In addition to the method above, you would also need to use the old sfrn.game and ifrn.game files to roll back the save and be ready to go, but this is not recommended as your saves will be at risk.

This issue is now closed and is fixed for 2.2.2.
