Added the ability to use environment variables for configuration.

Also I added skip event checking, because otherwise the program does not allow me to use a gamepad or mouse for binding, although I have bound the corresponding buttons.

It would be great for README to point in the right direction on how to configure this for a desired key

Hi, sure. I want to do some tests, yesterday when I tried to run it for some reason it didn't work.
