Personally I don't see the need for it at the current stage, i.e. until we will have to perform active moderation of repositories and communication channels. As for signaling an inclusive environment, I don't think it has any real effect in practice, since I believe for most people engaging in open source activity it's already a default assumption that projects are happy to receive constructive contributions no matter who is an author (being constructive also includes the "don't be a jerk" requirements).
But, that said, I will not be against it, if others will voice their support in favor of it.
Many Rust projects have added a code of conduct.
Should we? I'd be in favor of it. The Rust Code of Conduct seems to be a popular one for Rust projects.
