@keorn, @tomusdrw, @debris, and I will be hosting this workshop for @ethcore.
We have a few activities planned:
We intend for this to consist of a lot of loosely-structured time, and we'll also all be around if you have any questions about more in-depth architecture of a blockchain client, what our tech stack looks like, and other crypto/blockchain related discussion.
We'll start at 11:00 AM on the 18th, the venue will probably be http://co-up.de/ but is still TBD.
Please register on activites.rustfest.eu to claim a seat. Of course, you will need a RustFest ticket to enter.
The folks at @ethcore also expressed they were willing to work with anyone who has other topics they might want to discuss, just let us know here. :)
Can you tape the workshop/presentations and upload the video somewhere? I would have loved to attend, but unfortunately I cannot be in Berlin during that event. :(
@SuperFluffy At the moment there are no plans to tape the Workshops, however the main rustfest talks on Saturday will be recorded and posted later as far as I am aware.
@Hoverbear Huh, that's sad. Maybe the slides/code/lecture notes documenting the Ethereum Workshop could be uploaded then? That would be lovely. If not, I will just have to wait for another workshop likes to take place. :-)
@SuperFluffy It is a bit sad. :(
@rphmeier are there any documents/materials you'd be willing to share publicly about the content of the workshop? Alternatively is there a way for people like @SuperFluffy to engage with you outside of this workshop?
It's possible that we might record some of the demonstrations and post them online somewhere, especially if there's interest. I'll look into it!
Well, if someone has a camera, co.up is a good place to get something arranged. I can drop a few notes around that and you can pass by the place beforehand. Lending a friends consumer camera (are GoPros fit for that?) and retrieving the audio channel in some other way is usually possible.
Proper production of such a thing is usually one of the most expensive parts of a conference.

This issue is meant the primary discussion point on what to do/work on in the 🔐 Crypto (and blockchain) Room: this room will focus on crypto and blockchain technology and their implementations in Rust.
@ethcore is helping host this workshop and has lots of exciting content! They'll be following up in a comment with some details about what they have planned!
