Cloning the repo takes a lot of time.
When looking at the history, we can see that there is lot of big files (around 550MB) that got pushed there, and that are not useful anymore.
Since this project seems to be at a more advanced stage than the original crate, maybe it'd be nice to cleanup the history, and update the target repo on crates.io to point to this one?
I can help cleaning up the big files from the history if you still want to keep the commits, or maybe you can just go for a reset of the history.
