Add connection points along the edge of a group #13

I would like to see a feature that makes it possible to add connection points along the edge of groups, essentially turning them into resuable, custom "components".

Component layout, connections and perhaps even some properties internal to the group should be lockable to avoid accidental edits.

It would also be nice to be able to keep a library of saved custom components/groups.
