ODS #13

Currently, the SCA can handle the XLS-family and the XLSX-family. It would be nice if more formats were added, like ODS.

Hello Remco This would be a very interesting component to have in the SCA, as this would potentially enable us to do automatic verification of content transformed from Excel formats to ODS.

Speaking from the point of view of the DNA, we are considering adopting ODS as a preservation format and see a potential application of the SCA as a component in our automatic verification. Having recently updated the "International Comparison of Recommended File Formats" I also see an application for many other archives, since ODS is preferred or accepted to a much larger degree than the Excel formats.

What are your thoughts on making this update, also now that time has passed since your original post and your priorities might have shifted?
