On my hero, the unexpected close occurs as soon as you start trying to route -
pressing the home
button, or when you press the route button on the map view after entering start
and end, for example.

I donwloaded AndNav2 from the market yesterday (16th Feb 2010) and I am having
this
issue on my Hero. Any time you select an address to navigate to it force closes.

Same problem. As soon as I click on the final search result, I get a crash.

Just tried it on my Spica (Android 1.5) - works! Note: I had to uninstall
Andnav2
before installing the "a.apk" provided above.
Will this go to the market?

a.apk doesn't crass but never finds a route. It is useless

Can't confirm, a.apk finds a route for me... Must be Hero-specific (as opposed
to
Android 1.5 specific). Or maybe you have problems with the routing server
(check
settings)?
