I have thought about that fairly recently. A similar request was posted in #1307. In theory, it might be possible but I have not had a need for it myself. My old DS4 v.1 RS likes to stick off center to the right slightly (IIRC) but setting a dead zone is usually enough to negate any potential issue.
I don't know if it would feel better trying to account for the offset before hitting the mapping routine. Maybe I can give it a try and see.
I used "xinput plus" to fix this problem. There you can calibrate the center of the stick, but for this to work, you need to put some xinput files created by this program into the game folder, which is not very convenient. Program link: https://sites.google.com/site/0dd14lab/xinput-plus
The deadzone slightly fixes drift for me but when i try to push it opposite to the direction its drifting towards it doesn't reach the max output which can be annoying in certain games. an option to recenter each axis on the rest point would be nice.
I want to center the analog stick because when i tilt it slightly to the left, the analog stay in that position and sensor reads inclination by 1-2%, i know that deadzone may fix this but deadzone isnt needed when device is well calibrated.
