The game is playable but not perfect. The intro sequence tends to crash a lot, so you either have to use a save file to avoid this or try until it works. Users have reported this crash occures in ~95% of all attempts (A basic save game can be found in this Patreon post: https://www.patreon.com/posts/animal-crossing-35196813 , an example of the error can be found in the "Log file" section). Once you are done with this and can play, the game works pretty well. There are a few bugs and missing feature here and there, but overall in playable state. With my hardware I can reach stable 30 fps indoors and 22-27 fps outside, depending on the day time and how crowded the area is.
The Nook island introduction video doesn't render --> Blackscreen until it's over or skipped
Sound mixing is missing. You will hear a lot of sounds that shouldn't play and won't hear a lot of sounds that should play --> Example: loud waterfall sounds will always play when you are outside.
There are a lot of missing shaders and lights. (Screenshot 2 and 4 are examples of this)
Some particle effects don't play their animation correctly based on where you are --> This effects wasps, confetti, chimney smoke, fleas...
Missing features: Camera, Amibo invite, online play (visiting islands with nook tickets does work).
Just like in Super Smash Bros Ultimate, every particle effect playing for the first time will cause your game to stutter. After that it will be okay.
There is a chance of random crashes occuring. This seems to happen mostly when the game has to load a lot of content in very little time. (e.g. Running through crowded areas)
There is a chance of random texture corruptions occuring. Examples of this are: Items rendering wrong icons, objects drawing weird flickering shadows (Video 1), objects rendering incorrectly (Screenshot 8), particle effects like falling leafs having wrong colors.

Shadows and lightning got fixed and the audio is fixed with the rework.
Texture glitching and bugged animations are still a thing tho.
In the home wardrobe or in the Able Sisters shop a lot of images are corrupted (picture below).

The game has improved a lot in the last few months and the only problems left are the save file crash (See issues part) and the fps when your island starts to get crowded. Users with Intel or AMD GPUs will experience graphical glitches on windows due to bad OpelGl support. Switching to linux seems to help a lot. (Ask on the offical Ryujinx Discord if you need help with setting this up) or wait until the vulkan backend is released.

I'm not sure what's wrong here. I followed the instructions to setup Ryujinx and I loaded the unpacked ACNH game. Ryujinx is fine, I can open it without issue, and it looks like it starts loading ACNH (you can see the little loading island) but then I get this error and Ryujinx either crashes or just closes on me. I THINK this is the log for this pic but it doesn't show the error message. I have the second-latest version of Ryujinx (I'm getting a popup window to update) so I will try updating to see if that helps.

No the game does not support lanplay (Using your Wlan router as a A Server) - you can only play from Emu to Emu which emulates a local connection over the Internet (This is not possible with a Switch/Ryujinx rn) Also please join the discord for support questions like this - This is the report page for Game compatability

My game keeps consistently crashing. I've tried to disable "Ignore Missing Services", but that doesn't seem to help.
I get the occasional sound glitch every 10-30 seconds or so. It's a nasty sound like the game is freezing (but its only the sound), it's very short <1s but very annoying. I have tried OpenAL and SDL2, it happens on both. Using SoundIO the emulator crashes when loading the game. I found it happens very often when speaking to the Museum owl.
Dust clouds sometimes appear in the wrong position, possibly at a previous character position. Most noticeably when using tools or running around. In the picture below it's pretty close to the character but sometimes it is further off as well.
Just wanted to drop in here and say I can't even get into the first opening dialogue when starting a new island; it shows the "Getaway Package" sign surrounded by a black letterbox, then immediately crashes.

I'd suggest reading through the entire thread and / or searching through this github before posting an issue - This has been documented several times and is well known.
Disable V-Sync prior to starting the game, until after you're done with speaking to Timmy and Tommy. For some reason V-Sync causes several people to crash during this specific sequence.
If you're unlucky, like me, and still get crashes with V-Sync off, then download the save file provided on the Ryujinx Patreon, and use NHSE to then customize your villagers / etc to your liking.
Running latest 1.1.196 can't connect to my switch via LAN play. It tries really hard, but all I ever get is "Error code 2203-0022".

Same on me! I'm also using Macbook Pro 14inch (2021) M1 Pro model. Same issue occured on every black background scene. (such as in app setting from title page)

worth noting- the logs have vanished for some reason, but the game also seems to like crashing after 20 or so minutes on the mac build if you have hypervisor on. turning it off makes it perfectly stable for me, the only caveat is it chugs to an absolute crawl whenever the game autosaves.

I also have an issue with ACNH on MacOS. Ryujinx crashes after 3-4 minutes of playing, the error says "InvalidMemoryRegionException". Ryujinx_ 1.1.0-macos1_2022-12-10_12-09-45.log

There is an issue with lighting that is causing a pink hue. I saw a post from 2021 about a shader issue with mixed PBK and SSY addresses on the stack. This only happens when entering a business like nooks cranny, able sisters, the airport and the museum. The speech bubbles are normal colors its the lighting inside the buildings that is the issue,
When starting the game for the first time the issue is immediate. When entering the museum, nooks cranny, the able sisters, and the airport.
