Develop an 'Easy Guide' on the portrayal differences between S-52 and S-101 #115

The S101PT, at S101PT9, tasked the S101 PsWG with the development of a graphical comparison document where changes to S-52 symbology or new S101 symbology can be presented to mariners and other stakeholders to assist them with training, etc.

It should also help us confirm changes to S-52 are suitable for a DF period.

I have attached an early attempt drafted by Tom Richardson as an starting point to our discussions. Sympathetic Portrayal_Draft.xlsx

No further progress since last meeting due to lack of resources. This task won't be completed in time for PC 2.0.0 and will have to be finalised in 2025 once FC, PC, production tools and viewers stabilise and they 'talk to each' other.
Amend label to 'Post 2.0.0'

this is partly done by Chart 1 (cells are offset so they are located next to each other).. chart 1 (the larger scale cells) contain a lot of different symbology and it would be possible to create side-by-side comparisons. The two options here are:

Create exhaustive cells which show everything, symbols, linestyle and fill patterns.
Create selective comparison cells which expand the Chart 1 concept into something more representative of the "differences" between S-101 and S-57.

Happy to look at this in more detail, and we have the facility in PC 2.0.0 with Chart1Feature so it can probably wait until after the initial delivery of Chart1 with S-164/S-98 in November...
