(BananaDealer) suggests that we make this change. I don't know if that means giving science points for getting close with BTDT, or
just finding them from orbit? (this runs into the fine grained spacing of anomalies -- KSC itself is 13 independent anomalies, right?)

Do we expect users to do something else to the anomaly through SCANsat?

Part of the problem here is that there are functionally two different kinds of anomalies. The kind used to identify locations and put the markers on the map. And the kind used by remoteviewer to identify individual objects.
