Board Parameters for Charger? #42

Hi there,

I was working on building Samson March's amazing smartwatch design but noticed that there were some missing details about the board parameters. The main PCB for the watch is fine, all the details are there. The charger, however, does not include the board parameters (ex: thickness, min. hole size, etc.).

I'm completely new to Altium/PCB design, so I'm still not completely sure how to figure out the parameters on my own. I can do some deductions based on what I have learned already, but I want to be completely sure so I don't make any mistakes.

Hi,

First off, be sure to switch over to dannygrob's Openwatch project that was based off Smarch watch. As it is right now on github, the smarchwatch is not functional, working, or near complete.

If you're wanting to source the pcb, I had some decent luck with jlpcb.com. I think the pcb specs are in a pdf document on this project or Openwatch's. I wouldn't worry too much about the charger at this point, as the project isn't really at a point where it's usable on a day to day basis. I've had mine hardwired to the programmer and some usb power leads for a while. I plan to work on ota update capability next, but have a big work project to finish first and I know Danny has been busy as well. Once ota is working I think it'll be a lot more practical. At this point though, I want to say that this project is not cheap to get running or for the faint of heart, but it is a fantastic project for programmers who want to play with making hardware and SoC coding.
