Description

User story to add logging capabilities in Dash-Seedling. This is similar to the logging added in Model-Seedling. At the minimum the app should be capable of logging basic logs for basic operations taken place. These logs should be linked to the Application Insights for Dash-Seedling. An admin user with access to Dash-seedling resources should be able to view the logs in Application Insights on Azure.

As a FlowEHR admin, I want to

• Have Dash-Seedling app logging info/error messages upon basic user operations/actions using the app.
• Be able to view/query logs of Dash-Seedling in Application Insights on azure portal.

So that I can monitor the app activities.

Acceptance Criteria

• Implement logging capability in Dash-Seedling app.
• Log basic operation info messages in Dash-Seedling app.
• Consume existing app insights environment variables (from app service config)
• Local monitoring support through providing APPLICATIONINSIGHTS_CONNECTION_STRING env var
• Ensure logs generated by Dash-Seedling can be viewed in Application Insights on Azure
• Logs should also be visible within the FlowEHR Log Analytics workspace (application insights logs should trickle up to the Log Analytics workspace)
