Provide transport packages as releases #35

I have recently tried to import the sflight objects very unsuccessfully, as described in this issue on abapGit: https://github.com/abapGit/abapGit/issues/6924, leading to many broken objects on our system.

Would it be possible to provide transport packages as releases for this project that can be imported by a Basis person as an alternative to the abapGit installation method?

Sorry for the problems you are having with the demo content. Providing transports is unfortunately not possible. But we take your feedback and discuss internally how we can improve this in future. As per the problems you have with the repository objects: Independent of how they have been created / imported you can always raise a support incident, so that the colleagues can check and help you to fix the problems.

@VolkerDrees What prevents you from providing transport packages? Is it a technical problem? Presumably you can add everything to a transport, release it, and then copy the files from the OS and provide those? That is the classical way that SAP has provided packages and updates for many years?

As you may have seen from https://github.com/SAP-samples/abap-platform-refscen-flight/issues/36, I have twice now unsuccessfully tried to import with abapGit, spending many hours in the process.

SAP spends a lot of time promoting abapGit, which is being developed independently, so I suppose SAP makes no guarantees about it working or provides support for it? This seems to me an awful dilemma.
