@inf2381 thanks for the PR. Per discussion with @CCFenner, this change was already covered by #4904:

• a branch in CxONE doesnt necessarily mean a Git branch.

• 4904 introduces "gitBranch" referring to the Git branch from common env; whereas "branch" is a custom param that users can use to set the branch name in CxONE's project.

• the current logic here: if users dont provide a value for "branch", then the step will take "gitBranch" as default Hope it clarifies. If no objection, I think this PR can be closed.
