Mock Server for oData V4 #2562

Can I please check if there is mock server available that can support oData v4 ? Any timeline that it will be implemented in SAP Web IDE?

Hi @ferrydjaja i am from the Web IDE development team, Currently mocking OData V4 service is not supported, I am still checking with our product team when are they planning to start implementing this, i will update once i have an answer Regards Idan.

Hi, After discussing this request with our product team, SAP Web IDE teams plan to support mock V4 This is in our backlog. You can also add this as improvement request in the following site https://influence.sap.com/sap/ino/#/campaign/909 this is how we can raise/lower priority of new things to develop according to the need of our customers Regards Idan.

Just for Background, SuccessFactors is now in a critical evaluation phase for OData V4, and without a sufficiently robust way to Mock OData requests, it is becoming increasingly difficult to write any UI code against OData V4 services. We are constantly being blocked by back-end issues that take days or weeks to fix.

We need a robust solution to mock OData V4 on the UI side, and we need it soon. Please give this issue the necessary attention that it deserves, otherwise I fear a much slower adoption of V4 and the inability for UI to be developed in parallel to the back-end services.

If anyone still searching for a mockserver for OData v4, sap-fe-mockserver is available here which solves the problem

Thanks @anselm94 for pointing to sap-fe-mockserver. As OpenUI5 will not provide an additional mockserver implementation for OData V4, I'll close the issue. Despite that, I've created an internal incident (157) on the sap-fe-mockserver component asking for providing further information than the readme content on npmj.js.
