Madam, I am very much obliged to you for the Volume you have directed to be forwarded to me, which seems as prettily got up and promising in its contents as it is praiseworthy in its design.

• The inherent self-complacency of an author cannot quite forbear from repining at a cruel mis-print; The glowing bursts of glowing!! instead of glorious Song. I must charitably wish that none of my associates have encountered any such mischief. Here's my first pass at adding a few tags to the letter. Did anyone else find that, in oXygen, <profileDesc><correspDesc> had to be added manually? Was I mistaken in understanding that it was part of the default header in the current version of TEI?

Nice work! You're right that <profileDesc> and <correspDesc> have to be added to the TEI template. The default header does not include <profileDesc> because it is not required for all TEI documents, so you would need to add that for other kinds of metadata, not just <correspDesc> but also <particDesc>, <listPerson> and so on.

Solid work -- thanks for sharing. It was good that you made use of <!--commenting--> in your xml for an unclear word, but I also wanted to let you know that you can tag an unclear word with an <unclear> element (https://www.tei-c.org/release/doc/tei-p5-doc/en/html/ref-unclear.html).
