faster mass deletion from Duplicate file and multiple files with check boxes #478

faster mass deletion from Duplicate file and multiple files with check boxes.

add check boxes to the deletion menus. this way we can check the boxes and
files we want to delete and have them all deleted at once instead of clicking
delete and confirming each file every time.

just a subjection tho

You can already do that, you know? Wait, i'm assuming you're using JMM Desktop.
Is that right?
If it is here lemme show you with pics.
It shows my JMMD with Multiple Files tab being chosen.
To delete each file, well, you know how right?
To delete them all at once, see the tick mark i've shown there? That's your
answer. Just choose which release that you don't want, then delete away.
Hope it helps.

No need to be condesending.
Im fully aware of whats in the programs and not.
I was asking more of a mass marking for deletion.
Right now you can only delete one file or the entire grupe or grupe after
quality.
Instead of opening each episode to see what files are there we should have an
option to have all our epiodes open up from one button, and then be able to
mark with check boxes or something simelar and be able to confirm deletion.
Multible episodes, file, grupes, and so on.

Aaaaah, i get it. You want an option (more like a button, right?) to open all
episodes, and then next to them is a checkbox for deleting whichever you want,
right? Instead of jmmd dictating you which files you can delete and which files
you can't. My bad man. It wasn't clear when you mentioned it the first time.
Yeah, that'd be a nice feature.

Yeah, thats what i mean.

It would be alot faster then the normal way we use now.
Going over a few hundred files takes a time.

since this is being worked on. it might also be a good idea to have something
like a priority type deal aswell that marks files (for deletion by
confirmation) that is lower quality that of other files of the same thing
(movie/episode).

say you have a TV based releases in 720p or less and you get a new file that is
BD based at 720p or higher, the old file should be marked for deletion and need
a conformation to delete them all.

i think something like this will speeed up the multiple files tab managing alot
more IMO.

Also, Great to see someone working on JMM again :D

Hi, there is already an issue for what you suggested.

At the moment just going through all the issues, and consolidating.
In the process of moving to GitHub, and then work will begin again
