basically what I did was expanding the uncertainty using the formula for the fitness (intergenic model). So basically is adding the uncertainty of computing the average reads per transposons per gene . I put two contributions , one from the reads distribution as the std and the other one from the transposon density as 1-density.
I use the propagation formula from the logarithm(intergenic formula) and from the ratio (for the reads/transposons) :
