Issue Description

Iron deficiency can lead to several health issues, collectively referred to as iron-deficiency diseases. The most common iron deficiency disease is iron-deficiency anemia, but iron deficiency can also contribute to other health problems.

Suggested Change

Iron-deficiency anemia is a condition resulting from insufficient iron levels, leading to decreased production of hemoglobin, the oxygen-carrying protein in red blood cells. This deficiency impairs oxygen transport in the body, causing symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, pale skin, shortness of breath, dizziness, cold extremities, and brittle nails. Additional complications from iron deficiency include restless legs syndrome, cognitive impairment, compromised immune function, and increased risks during pregnancy.
