That sounds good.
I'll create a new folder for "processed data" to save all the clean quadrats. Then we can work from there.
Bur first, I need to bring in recruits data. Has the app been fixed for that @jess-shue ? I didn't hear the last update about recruit issues.
@teixeirak, when you say "current total" and "∆", you are only referring to living stems, correct?
@krystalbagnaschi , @Iriskennedy , @rmh24 and @CarolineTroy, let me know when you are recovered from covid and you have a day off, so we can start working on this together.

correct.
Sounds good! It may be a few days before we are all back 100%. Is this something I can do without an IT account? Apparently there is some issue with mine and it still does not work :(
I hope you all feel better quickly!
You won't need an IT account for this -- just GitHub and R.
looping in @emacmonigle and @llmorreale .
@llmorreale , this is something that you may be able to help guide. @ValentineHerr is also helping, so of course you'll want to coordinate.
Happy to help! Can coordinate with Valentine this week. I think this could be a nice basis for the R-focused lab meeting in 2 weeks.
The interns were thinking the same thing!

I'd like to set up GitHub Actions to generate some results as soon as each quadrat is found to be without errors. I was thinking that Valentine could provide the overall structure and the inters could take a stab at coding individual metrics, but I'm open to whatever seems most efficient.
I was thinking we could have a 4x3 composite of 12 plot maps arranged in columns of n stems, biomass, and n species, and rows of current total, gain, loss, and net change (the latter 3 relative to previous census). So the variables to calculate would be:
I'm thinking this could be a full-page figure in the manuscript, which I just started outlining.
