Also, it would be helpful to get something on the status of mortality (e.g., n moving from in progress to finished per day)
Thanks, @ValentineHerr ! Flagging @rmh24 , @Iriskennedy , @emacmonigle , @krystalbagnaschi , @CarolineTroy so they're aware of these additions.
@ValentineHerr , many thanks for the updates. To clarify my understanding of these numbers,
1- have we really completed 55% of mortality stems (stems ≥10cm in last census)? Or does the number on the dashboard to the percent of stems finished in the main census for which mortality is also complete? 2- "0 mort stems transitioned from in progress to finished" means that stems were counted as finished prior to starting the mort census, correct? 3- Is progress on the mort census showing up in any calculations besides the % mortality stems completed? (That wouldn't be counted in stems/day or anything, correct? )
@rmh24 , @Iriskennedy , @emacmonigle , @krystalbagnaschi , @CarolineTroy may have some additional questions. I'm doing my best to communicate what we discussed this morning, but not sure if I'm getting everything right. :-)
1- have we really completed 55% of mortality stems (stems ≥10cm in last census)?
I am now remembering that we decided to give a status 1 ("finished") even when mortality was not done... that was helping the crew seeing progress on their map. So now I am looking at number of stems with a crown position (among stems ≥10cm) and I get 51%. Still high, @emacmonigle do you think ~50% of mortality has been done?
2- "0 mort stems transitioned from in progress to finished" means that stems were counted as finished prior to starting the mort census, correct?
Yeah I don't think we can rely on the census status. so I'll remove this metric.
3- Is progress on the mort census showing up in any calculations besides the % mortality stems completed? (That wouldn't be counted in stems/day or anything, correct? )
Correct, other calculations are only looking at main census
Thanks, @ValentineHerr !
~50% mortality being done sounds high relative to my understanding, but @emacmonigle is the right person to answer this.
@ValentineHerr , could you please add the following to the dashboard ASAP? (Needed to decided about getting extra help for the census)
