run model for canopy position without height #44

@mcgregorian1, I'd like us to be able to report/ discuss canopy position on its own when height is not included in the model. Could you please run this and report the coefficients for each canopy position.

Which model did you mean? Are you talking about the null model when we were testing each trait individually or with other variables?

If you just mean testing it by itself from the null model, I've run them and uploaded the two new sheets (they have "-position" at the end of the file names): here

Looks good-- thanks. It's clear that canopy position alone is not a good predictor/ wouldn't be the main reason large trees suffer more.

I've updated the predictions related to this:

1.2. Canopy trees have lower drought resistance because they are exposed to higher solar radiation, greater wind speeds, and lower humidity. Alternatively, the generally supressed status of subcanopy trees may be insufficient to override the benefits of their buffered environment during drought.
