figure lettering #87

@mcgregorian1, just reviewing journal guidelines (below), and I noticed that Fig. 1 lacks letters and Fig. 2 doesn't have parentheses around the d. Not something I'd worry about for first submission, but needs to be fixed eventually.

Subdivisions of figures should be labelled with lower case, bold letters (e.g. (a), (b)) and referred to in the text in the form (Fig. 1a), (Fig. 1a,b).

I just quickly inserted them using annotation in Mac Preview. This makes it good for submission, but still needs to be fixed in the code.
