Fourth slider visability discussion #71

The client has mentioned he wants the fourth slider to always be visible. This would make the user need to identify the tone of the chord more accurately. However doing so would introduce some usability and clarity issues. There is room for discussion about implementation, and we'll need to decide on a strong case for our decision (though it will ultimately be the client's).

When only needing three notes to create the chords:

Each of these could spawn it's own issue so we should think it through before committing to the idea. There are probably more thing to consider too.

If the fourth slider does become constant I think there should be an option to disable it. Thought?

I think while the 4th slider is always on: attach an option only available on the 4th slider that would make it not play anything

So it'll, be a mute button but for the slider.

If someone realizes that a chord doesn't require the 4th slider, they acknowledge it by pressing the button indicating 'mute 4th slider'.

  1. Hinting would be like the regular slider, but instead of showing a green hint on the slider, but show it on the 'mute slider' button.
  2. I'm thinking we can make it where, both 'mute slider ' = 'no slider' are correct answers.
  3. Not Sure.
  4. Not Sure.
  5. Yes. We could have it as another option while setting 'keep 4th slider on'. Add the 'mute slider' button on every slider.

4th slider should be an option because it would be too hard for beginners .
