Mesh construction failure with a particular mesh/correspondence

I've isolated it down to a single shape and set of particles. Project attached.

Not sure what the problem is. If it can't be fixed, we should at least understand why.

The resulting mesh is almost all NaNs besides a couple of valid points.

Seems to be entirely dependent on the mesh and not the particles:
