The Mobile Disability Resource Center is a local accessibility advocate that provides core services for the disabled and other programs. MDRC is a potential stakeholder and partner with the OpenColumbus OpenSidewalk initiative.

Had initial phone call with MDRC on 7/25/22. The person I spoke with said the Director was out of town and could call me back on Friday, 7/29/22. The person also indicated that Hilltop might be a neighborhood that might benefit from what OpenColumbus is doing.

Met with Dr. Johannes Christian and a wheelchair user named Yolanda to discuss requirements for AccessMap, the disability navigation app, the area for the next OpenSidewalk project, and how to engage pedestrians with mobility accessibility needs. This was a productive brainstorming session and that I hope will be the beginning of a strong collaboration. See the meeting notes for details of the discussions. Action items will be added as tasks to the Epic #2
